When we began designing for this customer, the backyard was overgrown and unusable. We found a creative way to protect the existing mature oak trees while installing a beautiful, natural stone patio with perimeter native plantings and a shade sail canopy for reprieve from the hot afternoon sun. Also featured a split rail natural perimeter fence and landscape lighting for warm evening ambience.

This customer came to us with a blank canvas and an old pool. Our design team listened to the client’s needs when they said they wanted to “feel like a never ending vacation in their own backyard.” We designed and executed a beautiful pool deck complete with a custom cedar pergola, outdoor counter and cabinets, landscaping, lighting as well as drainage solutions to address water concerns.

The purpose of this design was to use natural materials to construct a beautiful patio while protecting the Woodland Garden surroundings. The homeowner liked modern accents so we chose to use a geometric bluestone surrounded by natural pea gravel and built custom benches with hand-selected and reclaimed wood.
